 Corinthians 16:13 AMPC[13]  Be alert and on your guard; stand firm in your faith (your conviction respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, keeping the trust and holy fervor born of faith and a part of it). Act like men and be courageous; grow in strength!
Our whole American culture is infected with ontological lightness, celebrities and pro athletes being the most dramatic examples of this victimization of our souls that ruins us for any substantive love relationship. They are anchored only to their performances, and out of their performances come their identities — and ours who worship them. As soon as they stop performing, their identities — and ours — disappear.

Act Like Men - FOR REAL! - Are You In A RUT?

Are you in a rut season? Our bucks are in a rut, and they don't eat. They don't have one focus on their mind. What does a rut mean to you? Are you outside of God's will? And focus on one thing that'll satisfy you only. We're not animals. We're creating the image of God.
 
Romans 1:16-17 AMPC[16]  For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God's power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek, [17]  For in the Gospel a righteousness which God ascribes is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed through the way of faith that arouses to more faith]. As it is written, The man who through faith is just and upright shall live and shall live by faith. 
Colossians 2:20-23 AMPC[20]  If then you have died with Christ to material ways of looking at things and have escaped from the world's crude and elemental notions and teachings of externalism, why do you live as if you still belong to the world? [Why do you submit to rules and regulations?–such as] [21]  Do not handle [this], Do not taste [that], Do not even touch [them], [22]  Referring to things all of which perish with being used. To do this is to follow human precepts and doctrines. [Isa. 29:13.] [23]  Such [practices] have indeed the outward appearance [that popularly passes] for wisdom, in promoting self-imposed rigor of devotion and delight in self-humiliation and severity of discipline of the body, but they are of no value in checking the indulgence of the flesh (the lower nature). [Instead, they do not honor God but serve only to indulge the flesh.]
