WHO AM I - Identity Crisis of Youth Today! - POST-COVID Chaos Oct 30 2023

 I pick this up from my morning readings....
My brothers, the revolution may start in the streets, but it will only end when it lights aflame the hearts of every man in this nation to turn back towards the LORD.

The laws will only be rewritten, the morality will only then prevail, true justice and peace will only reign when we as men realize that we don't need an Emperor King or new political figure to alter our course.

God’s Word states, “Let wicked people abandon their ways. Let evil people abandon their thoughts. Let them return to the LORD, and he will show compassion to them. Let them return to our God, because he will freely forgive them.”  Isaiah 55:7
This week during our travels we were listening to a podcast about world politics and the problems associated with increased violence.  The podcaster was stating the difference between Chaos and Order… God brings order to all chaos... Jesus is the Peacemaker of the world through what He did for us on the cross and on the third day defeated evil, sin, and death.  Christianity has always brought order to the world in so many ways.  But the lack of God and Christianity created disorder from the top to the bottom. Order equals Boundaries. Chaos equals No Boundaries.  
 
The post-modern thinking which equals no boundaries leads to the battle of today's youth between Chaos and Order.
Earlier this week    we had the opportunity to speak to young men at a facility where we had not been in a couple of months.  When we walked into their dorm we encountered all new kids.  They looked at us like strangers.   They were playing a card game and didn't want it to be interrupted, but we had to transition well very quickly.  Sun was really concerned that it wasn't going to go well, but God showed himself to them through us as I made a slow transition from their world (chaos) to God's world(order).  

See, in a sense, you must have a “license” to speak to young minds.  God gives us the sermons because there is chaos in the world, but He wants us to bring order to everything and everybody around us through his Word.  We are to be salt and light in the world.  We must deal with the basics of life, not material things and not a liberation from another religion; but speaking truth into somebody's life. That's what happened with nine young men and a correctional officer this week.  We came out of that place praising God! Even with all the back pain that I was recovering from, all the preaching I've been doing at our church, the car breaking down and other things happening for the last month-and-a-half, we saw God entering the chaos to bring order into our lives, and of course, the lives of the young men that allowed us to open their dorm to GOD. 

At the end of the visit there was conversation, prayer, and laughter, even from the hardest young men in the group.
