[1]  BELOVED, DO not put faith in every spirit, but prove (test) the spirits to discover whether they proceed from God; for many false prophets have gone forth into the world.

"“If you believe God has told you to do something, ask him to confirm it to you three times: through his word, through circumstances, and through other people who may know nothing of the situation.”"

Reflect: How do you commonly “test every spirit,” or do you just do the “smart” thing or call a few friends and do whatever they advise? Be brutally honest. Ask God to show you what you would do if you chose to “test every spirit” more diligently.
